Suosittelen lukemaan Teuvo Lehtolan kirjan "Lapinmaan vuosituhannet".
Hyvin mielenkiintoisia asioita ja elävästi kerrottu. Ei ole mikään kuiva historian kirja.
Varsin erikoinen tarina on tämäkin (sivu 260):
Toinen hupaisa juttu on Paatsjoen vaaleanpunaiset hylkeet.

Laajennetaan vuosituhansia, eli Suomen Lapin pohjoisimpien kuntien asutushistoriasta uusi synteesi:
https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Ja ... apland.pdf
Lyhyesti mihin paadyttiin: Kasivarren ja Suomi-neidon paalaen kesken todettu selva ero, joka sittemmin tasoittui.
"Apart from Matti Huurre’s monograph on the prehistory of Lapland
and North Ostrobothnia (1983), which dedicates only
a very short space to each district due to
the work’s extensive areal coverage, the three North Lapland boroughs have only received the full attention of one general treatise apiece.
Enontekiö has been dealt with by Petri Halinen (1995),
Inari by Christian Carpelan (2003),
and Utsjoki by Tuija Rankama (1996).
All three treatises cover the whole prehistoric era, not only the Mesolithic.
The goal of this paper is to combine a critical overview of the existing materials and publications from all three boroughs
with a few new finds and reinterpretations of old ones to form a framework of the post-glacial occupation of northernmost Finland"
